Nature

Volterra, (540m a.s.l) is surrounded by a series of green hills from which streams and creeks flow down to the rivers Era and Cecina. Famous are the woods, like Berignone, rich of wild life, where the nature is still respected and uncontaminated, they are popular destinations to hike, to horse-ride or mountain-bike.

The indications panels found in the woods lead to a series of demolished castles that are destinations for excursions during which it is not difficult to meet seekers of truffles or mushrooms that will tell you about the charm of this nature rich in beauties.
